The Inbetween

Have you been to the inbetween
A place were feelings lie still
Were people go not too be seen
Like standing on top of a hill

It can be found in doorways
Were people stop too think
A world that moves and sways
Were even the bravest don't blink

Inbetween a window frame
When you look out into space
And you realize life is just a game
And the game is the same for each and every race

Found between all shadows
Were light and dark can meet
The fight and struggle no one knows
It is the game you cannot beat

The winners of this game must die
And receive their reward in heavens eye
And those the winners leave behind
Makes the game even harder, leaves them blind

We seek the good in everything
A place within are mind
But every time a loved one wins
The game of live and leaves you far behind

We think of what it's like too win
To cheat to get the reward within
But then we know if we do
We make the game harder for you

So we keep the pain inside away
lock it up real tight so it cant be seen

And go to the nearest doorway,
window or shadow back to the inbetween
